Welcome to Spalding and District u3a

Please have a look at the sections on our website and if you are interested in joining our groups or attending our Social Events, you need to join the Spalding u3a first. This can be done:

• At our Monthly Meeting at Surfleet Village Hall on the first Thursday of the month at 1.30pm.
• By completing the application form (see link below) and paying by BACS transfer.

Membership Application

Renewal Date: 1st August
Cost 2025/26: £18

New Member:
a) Joining 1/6/25 - 31/7/25: £18  - valid until 31/7/26
b) Joining 1/7/25 - 31/12/25: £18 - valid until 31/7/26
c) Joining 1/1/26-31/5/26: £10 - valid until 31/7/26

Existing members

Early renewal for existing members from 1/6/25 £15 - valid until 31/7/26

Monthly Meetings

These are held on the 1st Thursday of each month. Doors open from 1.30 pm when you can partake of light refreshments while catching up with friends. The formal meeting begins at 2.00pm. Each month there is a presentation by a guest speaker on a wide variety of topics. You are welcome to attend two monthly meetings before taking up membership. Please note: you cannot attend any group meeting until you become a member of the Spalding & District u3a. The AGM takes place at the October meeting and is for members only.

The usual venue is Surfleet Village Hall, Station Road, Surfleet PE11 4BW. There is plenty of parking.

Groups and events

There are currently just over 40 regular activity groups, all run by Spalding & District u3a members.  The Social Events committee arranges a varied programme of outings and events which is open to the whole membership.
