We are a very friendly group of stitchers. Our members have a wide variety of experience from complete beginners onwards. The projects we undertake encompass many techniques with each member working at their own chosen task.

The group is very supportive with members helping each other to try new skills or resolve stitching problems. Members can request mini ‘workshop’ sessions when we look at a particular skill such as appliqué or how to make a specific quilting block such as flying geese.

Occasionally we undertake a group exercise. We have taken the theme ‘British wildlife’ and produced a variety of items. This year we are planning an entry for the scarecrow trail in the village of Moulton where we meet. Several of us will be taking advantage of a local coach operator’s visit to the ‘Sewing for Pleasure’ show at the NEC.

There is a cost element to the group. We need to pay for room hire and to comply with regulations for any electrical equipment we use which must be PAT tested annually. We arrange for an engineer to attend one of our meetings to achieve this.

If you are a member of our u3a and would like to join this group or would like further details, please contact one of the group's leaders (see the group information above). For non-members please contact the Groups Co-ordinator.
