The aim of the “Plus One Group” is to offer an opportunity for anyone who would like to attend an event or visit a place to find another like-minded person to accompany them. The group acknowledges that even couples have different choices and tastes, and allows people to go out and about with someone else from u3a, whereas before they may not have had anyone to go with.

Events attended have included cinema, opera, and bands. However right at the beginning of the group two people who hadn't met before took a bucket list trip to Japan!

Members of this group are encouraged to contact the group leader (see the group information above) with a proposed outing for consideration.
