Recently the Needlecraft group were invited to add some 'embellishment' to the banners being made for The Festival of the River to be held in Spalding in November.  Four banners were being made and the pictures below show us adding sequins, detail with shiny thread, and highlighting features on the banners. Much of this work is being instigated by The Old Hospital Trust in a bid to raise interest and funds to restore the old Johnson Hospital in Spalding as an Arts and Crafts centre. Look out for adverts for the Festival.

Following the parade the banners are going to be on display at Ayscoughfee Hall.
