On a dry, bright and sunny day on Thursday 10th October a couple of dozen of our members joined a Blue Badge guided tour of Stamford organised by our Social Events committee. We were split into two group of twelve each with our own guide for our tour to learn about the illustrious history of this beautiful Georgian town. The Guide for the group that I joined was particularly enthusiastic and her vibrant personality brought historical events to life in a way that no guide book could possibly achieve.
