The objective of the group is to research our ancestry, know our roots, our origins and to help each other to that end.
We meet at the Spalding Library 10am to 12 noon on the second and forth Thursdays in each month in two independent groups.
We have full use of the free Ancestry Library edition, Find my Past and Newspaper Archives software. New and updated websites with new records, enable many a brick wall to crumble, as one fact leads to another unravelling our past as we try to find out where they lived, how they lived and what their occupations were. Our Ancestors help shape our lives.
Family History is a popular hobby and our meetings are well attended.
As an ancient proverb says "To forget ones Ancestors is to be like a brook without a source or a tree without a root".
