No such incident has occurred to date. Likelihood of risk happening: (1-3) 1 Severity if the risk occurs: (1-3) 3 Overall score: 3 moderate What controls are in place: There are fire alarms in public buildings members use. Fire exits are signed and pointed out to members. In private members homes the group using the venue will be made aware of the exit. Newer house will have smoke alarms fitted but it is up to the occupier to test these. Older houses may not have smoke alarms. Is any action required to further minimise risk: If a member believed there was a risk, they could raise the issue. To date there hasn't been a problem. The occupier of the house might have home insurance. The public venues will have their own risk assessments and insurance. The U3A has insurance cover.
