Our U3A art groups were initially advertised as “Watercolours for the petrified” and were based upon the premise that people attending would not have any, or little, experience of watercolour painting.

Originally there were 2 sub groups, 'Art School 1' on each Monday of the course and 'Art School 2' on each Wednesday, and both sub groups held their classes in Pinchbeck Community Hub. Since then 'Art School 1' has become the 'Monday Watercolour Group' and 'Art School 2' has become the 'Wednesday Art Group' (this group).

After successful ‘en plein air' sessions during the summer recess, the Wednesday Art Group will resume on Wednesday 4th September 2024 at The Pinchbeck Hub from 2pm – 4pm. We have invited a local professional Watercolour artist, Phil Biggs, to come and demonstrate his skill. This session is open to all members of the u3a, whether you paint or not and would like to see a professional artist at work and ask questions. Refreshments will be included in the admission price of £5. To reserve your seat please contact either of the group leaders (see the group information above) as soon as possible. You will then receive further information regarding the day.
